Ce colloque marque d’abord la clôture du projet Anr Méryt dont l’objectif était de modéliser une chronologie absolue de l’Ancien Empire égyptien par une approche combinant archéologie, histoire, physique, chimie, statistiques et mathématiques, et d'interroger la possibilité même de faire converger dans un modèle unique des données produites dans des contextes disciplinaires différents. Conçu en trois volets, ce colloque ouvrira ensuite un dialogue bien plus large, trans et interdisciplinaire, sans restriction d’espace ni de période chronologique, sur l’épistémologie des temps, à travers notamment la notion d’archives naturelles, d’archives anthropiques et de leurs rôles pour l’étude des sites anciens et des sociétés ; à travers les archéomatériaux, leur définition, leur caractérisation et leur apport à la pensée des sociétés anciennes ; à travers les notions de temps et de temporalités intrinsèques des sites archéologiques ; à travers des collections naturelles de références et leur implication dans la restitution des paléoenvironnements.

يمثل هذا المؤتمر ختاما لمشروع «ميريت» ، الذي كان هدفه هو نمذجة التسلسل الزمني المطلق للإمبراطورية المصرية القديمة، باستخدام علم الآثار والتاريخ والفيزياء والكيمياء والإحصاءات والرياضيات ، والتشكيك في سياقات تأديبية مختلفة في نموذج واحد.

سيفتح هذا المؤتمر، الذي تم تصوره في ثلاثة أجزاء، حوارًا أوسع نطاقًا ومتعدد التخصصات، دون تقييد بمكان أو فترة زمنية، حول نظرية المعرفة الخاصة بالزمن، لا سيما من خلال مفهوم الأرشيفات الطبيعية والأرشيفات الإنسانية وأدوارها في دراسة التاريخ. المواقع والمجتمعات القديمة؛ من خلال المواد الأثرية وتعريفها وتوصيفها ومساهمتها في تفكير المجتمعات القديمة؛ من خلال مفاهيم الزمن والزمنيات الجوهرية للمواقع الأثرية؛ من خلال مجموعات المراجع الطبيعية ومشاركتها في استعادة البيئات القديمة.

This symposium marks the conclusion of the Anr Méryt project, which aimed to model an absolute chronology of the Egyptian Old Kingdom using an integrated approach combining archaeology, history, physics, chemistry, statistics and mathematics, and to examine how bringing in a single model data produced in different disciplinary contexts. Organized into three main contents, this conference will then open up a much broader, trans- and interdisciplinary dialogue, without restriction of space or chronological period, on the epistemology of time. It will involve questions about the notion of natural archives, anthropic archives and their key roles in the study of ancient sites and societies; archaeomaterials, their definition, their characterisation and their contribution for understanding ancient societies; the notions of times and temporalities intrinsic to archaeological sites; natural reference collections and their implication in the reconstruction of palaeoenvironments.
